Universal Horrors The Studio's Classic Films, 1931-1946

Here we have a real thing for fans of monster classics. This is a great book with a lot of great background info for every Universal horror movie classic starting from 1931 and finishing with 1946. Two books that I reviewed before could be great supplements to this book. McFarland publishing house has definitely great editions on market.
This is hardcover book with some 606 pages full of great text and it really has a very nice format as you can see from pictures below. Highly recommended.

If you use this link to buy this book, this poor fella is gonna get
some provision from amazon. So please do that :)

Monsters A Celebration of the Classics from Universal Studios

Here we have very nice photo based book. It is 90% photographic material and 10% percent text. Hardcover, fantastic print and fantastic photography. This book is perfect companion to Universal Studios Monsters book or Universal Horrors book that I will be reviewing tomorrow. Book is separated in chapters dedicated to monsters. Every monster is covered with beautiful shots from different movies. At every beginning and end of every chapter there is some little introduction to every monster. Overall this is one very good and interesting book but you should look at it as companion to some other books about the same theme because you will not find a lot of information like in other publications.

Universal Studios Monsters: A Legacy of Horror

Universal Studios Monsters: A Legacy of Horror is a great new book covering Universal horror classics. This is very nice introduction and overall view of classic monster movies. Every monster has its own chapter with review and production information. At the end of each chapter we have spotlight on actors and directors connected with certain monsters and movies.

Book is written so nicely that you can read it in a day but i suggest you digest it slowly because it gives you more pleasure that way. You will find a lot of pictures and poster art reproduced very nicely. This book is a real treat for fans of Universal horror classics but also everyone else interested in movie history will enjoy this treasure chest.

Some technical information about this book. This is as you can see hardcover with 252 pages many in color and beautiful thick paper and fantastic print.
